Ever since Rupaul’s Drag Race exploded into the mainstream, drag queens have emerged from the shadows to become a beloved form of entertainment. Of course, there’s no right or wrong way to express your inner queen, but what if you don’t even know where to start? This workshop will teach the basics of what you need to know in order to slay the stage, from choosing a drag persona, putting together an outfit to the basics of a good performance. After the class ends, I’ll provide tons of additional resources including videos in order for you to further your education and go more in-depth. This class will be focusing on those who want to start their drag queen journey, but all levels of experience and types of performers are welcomed to join!

S2 : Simple to Spectacular is a class for exploration & joy!  How do we elevate our current movement repertoire? How do we create interesting work?   In this class we will be exploring the following motifs and techniques:

• Body Maintenance & Conditioning 

• Increasing Dance Vocabulary

• Jazz, Ballet, Neo-Classical Burlesque, Musical Theatre & Heels

• Moving With A Group

• Playing With Pauses

• Shifting Front & Exploring Space

• Gloves (Optional & All Types Welcome)

• How To Maintain Confidence When Things Go To $h!t!

If this is your 1st class or your 40th you will leave feeling challenged, connected & confident! This class is for all bodies & all abilities! Come as you are. You are more than enough.  Let’s have some fun!

GiGi Holliday will teach you burlesque tease and dance moves to please. This movement class is designed for all levels. Students would need to wear clothes that they can move in. Heels are optional, but not required.
